Job Title: Diesel Mechanic – Mobile Technician
Location: South County
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: Base pay starting at $25/hour plus commission average salary $70–$100k+
Position Overview
Our valued client is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Diesel Mechanic to service fleet vehicles in a mobile role. This position works out of a company-provided truck and services vehicles within a 25-mile radius. This is a first-shift opportunity with strong earning potential and steady, consistent work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel fleet vehicles
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and engine issues
- Complete preventive maintenance services efficiently and accurately
- Communicate findings and recommended repairs clearly
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service documentation
- Operate company vehicle safely and professionally
Qualifications
- Certified Diesel Mechanic required
- 2+years of diesel diagnostic and repair experience
- Experience working with fleet vehicles strongly preferred
- ASE Certification (T-Series) helpful but not required
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel locally (no more than 25 miles)
- Background screening required
