Lab Technician
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Day Shift (8:00am – 4:00pm, some flexibility available)
Pay Range: $19.00 – $22.00/hour (based on experience)
Reports To: Operations Manager
Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our Quality team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build hands-on laboratory experience in a stable manufacturing environment. We are open to training motivated individuals with little to no experience, while also offering higher starting pay for candidates with prior lab or chemical analysis background.
What You’ll Do
- Perform daily sampling and chemical analysis of process solutions
- Calculate and adjust chemical concentrations to maintain operating standards
- Conduct routine lab testing and accurately document results
- Interpret data and communicate any abnormal findings
- Assist with environmental monitoring (wastewater, surface tension, etc.)
- Maintain lab equipment through cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Manage lab inventory and testing materials
- Support production by measuring and adding chemicals as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and calculations
- Ability to follow procedures and safety protocols in a chemical environment
- Basic math skills (fractions, percentages, ratios, concentrations)
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and document findings clearly
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field preferred but not required
- Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply
- Prior lab, manufacturing, or chemical handling experience is a plus
