Medical Billing Specialist – Behavioral Health

What You’ll Do:

Prepare and submit accurate insurance and private-pay claims

Verify coding accuracy against clinical documentation

Track, post, and reconcile patient account activity

Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to secure payment

Maintain current knowledge of billing regulations and payer requirements

Assist with front office tasks as needed in a professional medical setting
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in medical billing or healthcare accounts receivable (behavioral health preferred)

Knowledge of medical billing codes, EMR systems, and insurance processes

Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and billing software

Professional communication and customer service skills

High school diploma or GED required; medical billing certification preferred
