Now Hiring: Sous Chef
📍 Full-Time | Culinary Leadership | High-End, Scratch Kitchen

We are seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to support our Executive Chef and play a key role in delivering high-quality, consistent culinary experiences. This position is ideal for a creative, self-sufficient professional with strong scratch-cooking skills and experience in catering or high-volume production.


🔪 Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily culinary production with strict attention to quality, recipe compliance, and presentation

  • Support catering operations by preparing, assembling, and staging menu items for events and high-volume service

  • Assist with menu development and support, including recipe testing, portion accuracy, and rollout of seasonal or new offerings

  • Provide strong day-to-day support to the Executive Chef and kitchen team, bringing creativity and problem-solving to the kitchen

🧠 Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong high-end culinary background with an emphasis on scratch cooking and fresh ingredients

  • Solid knife skills, flavor development, and precise plating

  • Ability to independently maintain elevated culinary standards

  • Portfolio of completed dishes preferred


👨‍🍳 Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional culinary experience

  • Experience in catering, banquets, or high-volume production environments

  • Prior Lead Cook or Sous Chef experience preferred


💪 Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Lift, push, or pull 40–50 lbs

  • Work efficiently in hot, fast-paced kitchen environments

  • Bend, reach, and move quickly during service


🛠 Equipment Used

  • Commercial ovens, grills, fryers, and steamers

  • Knives and standard culinary tools

  • Mixers, slicers, food processors

  • Kitchen management and inventory systems


🤝 Leadership & Work Style

  • Minimal direct supervision required

  • May guide cooks during production but not responsible for full team management

  • Must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of quick decision-making (for example, creatively solving ingredient shortages)

  • Strong work ethic with a collaborative, team-first mindset
