Custodian / Janitorial Team Member

Position Summary
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment. This role involves routine janitorial work, kennel cleaning,  operating cleaning equipment, and supporting the team to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine janitorial and cleaning duties as assigned

• Follow daily cleaning schedules and checklists

• Operate motorized cleaning equipment and tools

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas

• Identify and report safety concerns or hazards to supervisors

• Follow all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures

• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors

• Complete repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail

• Step in to assist during staffing shortages when needed

• Support shift leads with punch-list and special assignments

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude

• Deliver excellent customer service and interact professionally with staff and clients

Qualifications & Experience

• No specific education required

• 3–6 months of janitorial or custodial experience preferred (or equivalent training)

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Strong communication skills

• Bilingual skills are a plus

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid driver’s license may be required

• Completion of safety and task training certifications

• Forklift certification may be required for some assignments

Skills & Knowledge

• Familiarity with cleaning methods, tools, and equipment

• Understanding of proper care and maintenance of cleaning equipment

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
