Job Full Description
We are currently seeking a motivated Wood Finishing Production Laborer to join the team of our cabinet manufacturing client. As a Wood Finishing Production Laborer, you will be responsible for working in the production facility, primarily focusing on sanding, staining, and learning the intricacies of cabinet finishing. This role requires the ability to read a tape measure accurately, perform heavy lifting, and a willingness to learn new skills.
Position Type: Full-Time
Shift: Days, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Sanding, staining, and finishing cabinets according to specifications.
- Learning and mastering the art of cabinet finishing techniques.
- Operating various equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Reading and interpreting measurements from a tape measure.
- Performing heavy lifting tasks, up to 50 lbs, as needed.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Willingness to work overtime, including 10-hour days and rotating Saturdays.
Requirements:
- Previous production or construction experience preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks, up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions closely.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
