Job Full Description
Job Summary
Material handler role is the backbone of our shop floor, ensuring that our fabrication teams—including press brake operators and welders—have the materials they need exactly when they need them.
Safely load and unload steel coils, plates, and structural components from trucks using forklifts, overhead cranes, or side-loaders.
Deliver specific raw materials to machine stations (Press Brakes, Lasers, Saws) and remove finished parts for staging. Assist in performing cycle counts, labeling incoming stock, and organizing the yard or warehouse to maximize space.
Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies against packing slips; maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.
Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch.
Strong attendance record and a valid driver’s license.
Minimum of 1–2 years in a warehouse, manufacturing, or construction environment (steel industry experience is a major plus). sit-down forklift is required. Experience with overhead bridge cranes is highly preferred
Evaluation Hire Position
$17.00-$18.00/hour; DOE
M-F 3:00 pm-11:30 pm
