Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Technician to support apartment communities and 55+ residential properties. This position is ideal for a dependable, hands-on professional with strong repair and maintenance skills who takes pride in providing quality service to residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
- Complete general property maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks
- Maintain community grounds, landscaping, and exterior building appearance
- Operate hand tools, power tools, power washers, and maintenance equipment safely
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure all work is completed according to safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of property maintenance, apartment maintenance, or home maintenance experience required
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using mobile devices or maintenance software
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and interact professionally with residents
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry 50+ pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, walk, and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable performing labor-intensive work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Background Requirements
Because this position involves access to residents' homes, a thorough background check will be conducted. Candidates must have a clean background with no felony convictions and no history of theft, drug-related offenses, violent offenses, or weapons-related charges.
