Accounting/HR Manager

 

Manages and protects all hotel financial assets in accordance with company mission statement to achieve maximum profitability and financial stability. Full-time - 40 hours with benefits. Looking for the right individual to be on our team.

Qualifications : Must have experience in all areas of accounting procedures, including payroll preparation using QuickBooks . Excel usage necessary. Knowledge of the hotel industry helpful. Must be able to work well with other managers and employees. Good organizational skills and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Requirements of this job are acquired through a 2 or 4 year degree and a minimum of 4 years accounting experience. Salary: DOE

Specific Duties :

  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Prepares daily reports and income audit.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Prepares payments by verifying documentation.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Minimizes investment in inventories, prepares cost analysis for managers, and oversees procedures for purchasing of items for the hotel.
  • Completes orientation for new employees on a timely basis.
  • Keeps the time clock functioning at all times and ensures staff uses proper procedures when clocking in and out. Review all punches for errors or concerns notifies department manager. Prepares and processes payroll.
  • Oversee timeliness of evaluations on employees, assists in disciplinary actions.
  • Position includes a Manager on Duty rotation weekend, approximately 1 weekend a month.
  • Organizes the monthly all staff lunch, picking timely topics for presentation.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $52,000.00 per year
