Millwork Shop Assistant – Cabinets & Countertops

About the Role
We have a cabinet and countertop company looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to join our shop team. This position supports our cabinet and countertop fabrication operations while learning the trade from experienced craftsmen. No prior woodworking experience is required — just a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the fabrication, assembly, and installation of cabinets and countertops
- Operate basic shop tools and equipment (training provided)
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials for production
- Load and unload materials, components, and finished products
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Support lead carpenters and fabricators with daily shop tasks
- Learn trade skills to advance into higher-skilled roles over time

- Reliable, punctual, and ready to work
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks
- Positive attitude and willingness to follow direction
- Basic math and measuring skills a plus
- Interest in cabinetry, woodworking, or construction trades
- Team player who takes pride in quality work
Compensation & Growth
- Starting wage: $15/hr
- Wage growth to as much as $20/hr within 6 months based on performance and skill development

Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Thursday = 4, 10-hour shifts, 6am-4pm (with occasional overtime as needed)
