Temporary Office Manager – Short-Term Assignment

Position Summary
The Temporary Office Manager provides short-term administrative and office support to ensure smooth daily operations during a defined coverage period. This role focuses on front-office support, basic financial and billing tasks, document management, and professional client interaction. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to step in quickly with minimal training.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and direct clients with a professional and welcoming demeanor
- Answer and route incoming phone calls and process daily mail
- Manage basic billing, invoicing, and financial entries using QuickBooks/BillQuick
- Prepare deposits, assist with expense reports, and support monthly billing activities
- Order office supplies and maintain general office organization
- Scan, file, and archive documents (physical and electronic)
- Assist with printing drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Post and manage online bid documents as needed
- Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects during the assignment
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; QuickBooks experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and adapt quickly in a short-term role
- Comfortable performing standard office tasks, including lifting up to 20 lbs
