About the Role

We are seeking skilled Mason to join our client's team. The ideal candidate has experience working with brick, block, stone, and concrete, and is able to perform high-quality craftsmanship on residential, commercial, or industrial projects. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lay brick, block, stone, and other masonry materials according to specifications
• Mix and apply mortar, grout, and concrete
• Construct or repair walls, foundations, chimneys, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Cut or shape materials to fit project requirements
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment
• Ensure work meets quality, safety, and building-code standards
• Collaborate with team members, foremen, and other trades

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mason, Bricklayer, Block Layer, or related role
• Strong understanding of masonry techniques, materials, and tools
• Ability to lift 80–100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to pass background and/or drug screening (if required)

Preferred Skills (Optional)

• Experience with stone veneer and decorative stonework
• Concrete finishing experience
• Scaffold setup and tear-down
• Ability to train apprentices or assist less experienced workers
