CDL Driver – Tow & Recovery Fleet
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Location: In-field / In-shop as needed
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Driver to operate a fleet of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty tow and recovery vehicles, including Kenworth T300 service trucks and wreckers. This role is responsible for safely transporting vehicles and equipment while providing professional, customer-focused service.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate light, medium, and heavy-duty tow trucks and wreckers safely and efficiently
- Perform vehicle recovery, towing, and transport according to company procedures
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report mechanical or safety concerns
- Secure loads properly and operate winches, booms, and recovery equipment
- Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Represent the company professionally at job sites and customer locations
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements (Class A or B, based on equipment)
- Clean or insurable driving record
- Experience operating tow trucks, wreckers, or heavy vehicles preferred
- Strong understanding of DOT safety regulations and load securement
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb in and out of trucks and operate heavy recovery equipment
- Standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to respond calmly and safely in roadside or recovery situations
