Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Temporary Mechanic to support our team during a short-term assignment from early June through late June. This role focuses on trailer maintenance and repair, with the opportunity to transition into a long-term position for top performers.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair trailer-related mechanical issues
- Perform maintenance and repairs on:
- Suspension systems
- Wheel bearings
- Trailer wiring and electrical components
- Hub assemblies (packing hubs, sealing, adjustments)
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work efficiently to meet daily productivity goals
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a mechanic (automotive, trailer, or heavy equipment preferred)
- Basic knowledge of trailer systems, bearings, and wiring
- Ability to use hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
