Assistant Painter (Entry-Level) – Painting Company

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Painter to join our team. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone who is willing to learn the trade, grow their skills, and build a long-term career in the painting industry.

You’ll work alongside experienced painters on residential and/or commercial projects, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist painters with job site preparation (covering floors, taping, masking, etc.)
• Clean and prep surfaces for painting (sanding, scraping, patching)
• Mix and handle paints, stains, and coatings as directed
• Load, unload, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow directions from lead painters and supervisors
• Support team members to complete projects efficiently and on time

Qualifications

• No prior painting experience required (training provided)
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and work on ladders when needed
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
