CNC Operator Position

Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Edit and load programs using Xilog.
- Create mix files to optimize machine workload.
- Calibrate and qualify tooling.
- Perform machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Understand and perform CNC area workflow.
- Capable of understanding 5 axis machining operations (horizontal machining, beveling, etc.)
- Properly mark and organize parts after machining.
- Validate accuracy of machined parts.
- Able to assist programming by processing Microvellum projects
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform repairs with CNC Supervisor.
- Maintain tooling inventory.
- Understand and practice fixturing techniques.
- Complete understanding of machine code and commands.
- Capable of configuring work zones.
- Capable of configuring CNC drill bank.
General Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Follow instruction and learn CNC operation, architectural woodworking and cabinetry (all aspects).
- Perform woodworking or other tasks as directed and instructed by the Shop Foreman, CNC Supervisor, or Job Captain.
- Set up equipment as instructed by the CNC Supervisor, Job Captain or the Shop Foreman, but not before being approved for operation by the Shop Foreman.
- Operate all equipment as directed, but not before being instructed by CNC Supervisor or Job Captain and approved for operation by the Shop Foreman.
- Be proficient in casework construction and standard 32mm cabinetry.
- Be proficient in the woodworking tasks such as, but not limited to, milling lumber, panel processing, ripping, crosscutting, sanding, all equipment/machinery functions (except shaper), case construction, laminating, solid woodwork, door construction, veneer work, gluing, and pressing.
- Learn basic woodworking techniques.
- Be familiar with plastic work as it pertains to CNC.
- Read and work from blueprints accurately.
- Have an understanding of wood products and their characteristics and properties, as well as the use of materials.
- Own tools as required by the Shop Foreman.
- Have good organizational skills.
- Be able to multi-task and manage workload.
- Maintain a positive attitude and be self-motivated, energetic, cooperative, and hard working.
- Be punctual and maintain consistent attendance.
- Work overtime as required.
- Be safety conscious at all times.
- Report any and all unsafe conditions and acts immediately to a supervisor or the Human Resource Manager.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and perform general housekeeping duties (cleaning work areas, replacing items used, etc.)
- Adhere to all Mark Richey Woodworking policies as outlined in the company handbook and safety manual.
- Be proficient in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office.
