Successful job history with good references, as well as a minimum of seven years of architectural woodworking or related job experience.
Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Woodworking skill level that can utilize all Shop equipment with exception given to CNC and the edge bander at a high level of skill and technique.
- Must have completed and approved 3 or more IJA’s. (individual job analysis)
- Be instrumental in assisting and running projects with the Job Captains.
- Perform high level woodworking tasks such as, but not limited to, milling/machining solid wood, panel processing (excellent working knowledge of all the different types of veneer and their layouts and how to cut them). Math proficient.
- Perform the more complicated architectural woodworking projects.
- Case construction; can execute the MV process along with machining and assembly of casework.
- Solid wood and Veneer laminating (including all curved applications).
- Door and Hardware layout and construction.
- Have a complete and thorough understanding of shaper set-up and work.
- Have a complete and thorough understanding of moulder work including set up.
- Excellent working knowledge of reading and working from blueprints with high degree of accuracy.
- Must be able to mark up (for field installation) shop blueprints as it pertains to the as-built project.
- Understand field installation methods and techniques.
- Understand and execute all curved work applications. This includes but is not limited to Die wall, paneling, curved interior and exterior solid woodwork, doors, mouldings etc.
- Instruct and train Woodworkers, Apprentice Woodworkers, and Helpers in all aspects of architectural woodworking.
- Understand wood products and their characteristics and properties, as well as the use of materials. Also able to utilize the GHS system for safe working methods.
- Extremely proficient in all aspects of paperwork including cut lists, shipping forms, finish forms and CNC kick off forms.
- High proficiency with weekly estimates to complete.
- Must be able to execute our Quality Control measures. Filling out QC on each job specific to the QC needed.
- Own tools as required by the specific Job Description.
- Be an integral part of the Apprentice training program.
- Have excellent organizational skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude and be self-motivated, energetic, cooperative, and hard working.
- Be punctual and maintain consistent attendance.
- Work overtime as required.
- Follows all Safety protocols.
- Be respectful at all times to all employees of MRW.
- Report any and all unsafe conditions and acts immediately to a supervisor or the Human Resource Manager.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and perform general housekeeping duties, which may include responsibility for a specific piece of equipment/machinery (cleaning work areas, replacing items used, etc.)
- Adhere to all Mark Richey Woodworking policies as outlined in the company handbook and safety manual.
