Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Traveling Assembler to install and assemble storage systems, including shelving, racking, and modular units, at client locations across various regions. This role involves extensive travel and requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites to install, assemble, and configure storage systems according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Use hand and power tools safely to complete assembly tasks.
- Ensure structural integrity and stability of installed storage units.
- Communicate effectively with clients and project managers to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues on-site.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in assembly, construction, carpentry, or a related field.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
- Comfortable with frequent travel and extended stays at job sites.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- OSHA certification (preferred but not required).
Work Environment & Travel:
- Requires significant travel to various locations.
- May involve working at heights or confined spaces.
- The ability to work overtime is a must.
