Shipping & Receiving Associate – Springfield, NJ
Pay: $22 – $25 per hour (First Shift)
Location: Springfield, NJ

Our client in Springfield, NJ is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate to join their team in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role requires someone who is comfortable working with large, extremely heavy products, utilizing overhead cranes, and performing both physical and computer-based tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, and material-handling equipment to move large manufactured products to shipping and receiving bays

  • Prepare shipments, including building and securing crates or shipping containers using hand and power tools

  • Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, conditions, and correct documentation

  • Use computers to generate and print shipping labels, packing slips, and bills of lading

  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records in internal systems

  • Inspect items for damage and report discrepancies

  • Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery

  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace and follow all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving within an industrial or manufacturing setting is required

  • Ability to operate overhead cranes and move very large/heavy items

  • Experience using hand tools and power tools to construct crates or secure loads

  • Ability to use computers and shipping software for labels and documentation

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and safely work in a physically demanding environment

  • Mandatory background screening and drug testing

  • Reliable and strong work ethic

Schedule & Pay

  • First Shift

  • $22 – $25 per hour based on experience
