Line Mechanic / Maintenance Mechanic – Kenilworth, NJ
Pay Range: $25 – $35 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time
A manufacturing company in Kenilworth, NJ is seeking an experienced Line Mechanic / Maintenance Mechanic to support production equipment, perform repairs, and ensure efficient operation of high-speed packaging and filling machinery. This is a hands-on role ideal for mechanically skilled technicians with experience in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or food production environments.
Responsibilities

Perform setup, operation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on high-speed packaging and filling machinery

Ensure production equipment is operating safely, efficiently, and within quality standards

Diagnose mechanical and minor electrical issues, replace parts, and complete routine service

Support changeovers, adjustments, and equipment calibration to meet production schedules
-
Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to minimize downtime and improve productivity
-
Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow safety and compliance procedures
Required Technical Skills & Equipment Experience
Hands-on experience with some or all of the following highly preferred:

Rotary vacuum fillers
-
Monoblock fillers
-
Crimpers
-
VideoJet & Domino inkjet coding systems
-
Bottom & front pressure-sensitive labeling machines
-
Sollas cello-wrap machines
-
General packaging line mechanical troubleshooting

Pneumatics, conveyors, bearings, motors, and gearboxes
Qualifications
-
3+ years of maintenance mechanic or production line mechanic experience in packaging/manufacturing
-
Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read diagrams and work instructions
-
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast-paced production environment

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or with a team

Willingness to work overtime as needed
Compensation

$25 – $35 per hour, based on experience and skills
