Accounting Clerk / Office Assistant – Manufacturing & Distribution (Union, NJ)
Location: Union, NJ
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (day shift)
Job Summary
A growing manufacturing and distribution company in Union, NJ is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk / Office Assistant to support day-to-day accounting functions while also assisting with general office operations. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is organized, and can juggle numbers and administrative tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

Enter invoices, reconcile statements, and assist with billing

Maintain accurate financial and administrative records

Assist with payroll support, filing, and document management

Answer phones, greet visitors, and support general office needs

Assist with ordering office supplies and coordinating vendors

Support the accounting team with reports and data entry

Perform other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications

Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support preferred

Basic knowledge of AP/AR and general accounting processes

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); accounting software a plus

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
