Press Setup Technician / Press Operator
Location: Mountainside, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Press Setup Technician / Press Operator for a manufacturing company in Mountainside, NJ. We are looking for a mechanically inclined candidate with hands-on experience setting up and operating production presses in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

Set up production presses for manufacturing runs

Install and change dies, tooling, fixtures, and press components

Perform machine changeovers and adjustments between jobs

Operate presses safely and efficiently

Read and follow work orders, production specifications, and setup instructions

Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy

Troubleshoot basic press, tooling, and setup issues

Monitor equipment and make adjustments during production as needed

Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Qualifications
-
Previous press setup or press operator experience required

Experience in manufacturing, metalworking, or industrial production

Ability to independently perform machine setups and changeovers

Strong mechanical aptitude

Experience working with dies and tooling

Ability to use basic precision measuring equipment

Blueprint or technical drawing experience is a plus

Strong attention to detail and quality

Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
