Food Service Worker

Position: Food Service Worker

Responsibilities

Assist with preparing and portioning meals, snacks, and beverages

Assemble food trays according to established guidelines

Serve meals and assist with cafeteria or food service operations

Stock food, beverages, utensils, and other supplies

Maintain clean and organized food preparation and service areas

Wash dishes, trays, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment as needed

Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
-
Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies
-
Dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and service areas

Provide courteous and professional service to patients, visitors, and staff
-
Follow all facility policies regarding food safety, hygiene, and infection control

Perform additional food service duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
Previous food service, dietary aide, cafeteria, restaurant, kitchen, or hospitality experience preferred
-
Experience in a hospital, healthcare, senior living, or institutional food service environment is a plus

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety

Dependable with good attendance and punctuality

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Ability to lift and carry food trays, supplies, and kitchen items

Comfortable working as part of a team

Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
