Job Full Description
Growing manufacturing company is looking for a 2nd Shift Shipping Manager
Ideal candidate will have the ability to:
- Manage 8-10 associates
- Must hold all accountable
- Plan and coordinate daily/weekly work
- Plan/control OT as needed
- Contact trucking vendors to coordinate orders
- Ensure orders are filled efficiently and correctly.
- Provide on time delivery for customers.
- Assist in improving procedures and processes. Implement change management proposals.
- Monitor daily production process and workflow.
- Check stock inventory, highlight, and suggest order quantity of materials to avoid potential shortages.
- Forklift Certified
- Drive trucks/trailer and prepare them for morning deliveries- jockey in the yard when needed
- Handle BOL's for shipments
- Train, motivate, monitor, and evaluate performance of personnel.
- Interview and recommend applicants for hire, counsel, and discipline as necessary.
- 10+ years of experience in a similar role
