🛠️ We’re Hiring: Machine Operator – 2nd Shift
📍 Freehold, NJ | 💵 $25–$30/hr | 🕓 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM | 🏭 Full-Time, Onsite
Our client is on the hunt for a skilled Machine Operator to join their second shift team and help turn raw steel into high-precision parts that keep heavy industry moving.
From mills to lathes and everything in between, you’ll be running the show—cutting, shaping, and creating parts with purpose. If you like working with your hands, solving problems on the fly, and getting things exactly right, this is your shop.
What You’ll Be Doing:
🔧 Operating CNC and manual machines to produce a variety of critical metal parts—think base plates, rollers, frames, and more
📘 Reading blueprints and work orders from the shop computer to understand specs and setup
🛠️ Light programming of machines—setting tools, tweaking speeds, and dialing in precision
📦 Loading raw materials and parts, then performing test runs to confirm quality
✅ Inspecting parts during and after production to ensure they meet exact tolerances
🧼 Keeping your machine area clean, safe, and organized
📲 Logging job time and updates using your badge and the work order system
🚨 Reporting any issues with equipment or materials to your shift supervisor
What You Bring to the Table:
✔️ 2–4+ years operating CNC and manual machining equipment (mills, lathes, etc.)
🎓 Technical school/trade program certification is a plus (but experience speaks loudest)
🧠 A solid understanding of machining processes, setups, and tooling
📐 Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings with confidence
🧐 Meticulous attention to detail—because a thousandth of an inch matters
💪 Able to lift, push, and carry 50+ lbs safely and repeatedly in a high-noise, fast-paced environment
You’ll Work With:
Machines like CNC mills and lathes, forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, shop computers, and all the safety gear you’ll need (just bring your steel-toes!).
Schedule:
🗓️ Monday to Friday
🕓 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
📍 Onsite only – no travel
