We are currently looking for an INGREDIENT SALES MANAGER. This position is remote with 50% traveling within the assigned territories. Competitive salary based on experience plus commission, year-end bonus, monthly car allowance, and a generous benefits package.
Job Summary:
The Ingredient Sales Manager/Representative will play a key role in driving sales growth by identifying opportunities, building strong client relationships, and providing tailored solutions to meet customer needs. This role requires an understanding of nutraceutical ingredients, market trends, and a proven ability to close deals in a competitive environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients within the technical and scientific wholesale and manufacturing fields.
• Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods, including networking and cold calls.
• Develops and implements strategies for sales within assigned region or industry.
• Applies knowledge of the field and product features to accurately match products to the needs of clients.
• Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
• Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications for existing and potential clients.
• Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.
• Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff when needed to confirm orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and proper distribution of products is executed.
• Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in B2B sales, preferably in the nutraceutical, food, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Understanding of nutraceutical ingredients and their applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills and proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Thorough understanding of technical or scientific products to be sold.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Science, Biology, Engineering, or related field required (or equivalent experience)
