Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bilingual Order Picker to join our warehouse team located in Kearny, NJ. The ideal candidate must Have a Car and be fluent in both English and Spanish, experienced with RF scanner technology, and able to accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from inventory based on pick tickets or electronic orders using an RF scanner.
- Identify product locations and verify product codes, quantities, and descriptions.
- Pack and label orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified).
- Know how to pick orders and use a ride-along (Deka Ruder) (will be trained)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and restocking as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors in both Spanish and English.
- Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience using RF scanners in a warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs.] and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Previous warehouse, distribution, or order picking experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Work Environment:
- Indoor warehouse setting; may be exposed to varying temperatures.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
- Must be comfortable using handheld electronic devices (RF scanners).
Hours of operation:
- 7am – 3:30 pm normal hours
- 6am – 6pm when busy
- Overtime when required – weekends rarely worked / 2x per year
