Job Full Description

Our client is currently in need of a Material Handler/Certified Forklift Operator. This is a temp to perm position with full time opportunity.

Responsibilities:

1. Lift and move equipment by physical or mechanical means (pallet jack, forklift, etc.)
2. Loading and unloading materials in both Receiving and Sorting areas, heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
3. Scan finished goods into inventory
4. Assist in filling work orders. i.e., wrapping, packing, etc.
5. Treat customers with respect at all times
6. Clean and organize work area as directed
7. Report any building problems to the Warehouse Manager
8. Work in a team environment
9. Perform any tasks assigned by their immediate supervisor and/or the Plant Manager correctly and in a timely manner

Educational Requirements (education, experience, skills, working conditions, physical demands):

1. High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
2. Basic computer skills and or background preferred for Technical Sorter position
3. Military background considered a strong differentiator   
4. Must display ability to:

1. receive, store, ship and distribute equipment in storage area
2. keep warehouse and personal work area clean and organized
3. lift 50 to 85 lbs. correctly, alone or using the “buddy lift” technique
4. work in adverse conditions common to a warehouse environment
5. work in high speed production environment
6. Sit or stand for extended periods of time
7. Walk up and down stairs
8. follow directions correctly and fully
9. work individually or in a team environment
10. adhere to any and all company policies and regulations
11. adhere to any and all safety guidelines
12. maintain proper and neat appearance
13. maintain good attendance
14. Strive to learn warehouse procedures and make recommendations for improvements.

Schedule:  7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Monday through Friday)(40 hours/week)

Position:  Temp to perm with opportunity of Permanent Hire.

Pay: $18-$19/hr.
