Job Full Description
We are hiring for Excavator Operators. In this role, you will operate excavators to move, load, and organize waste materials, assist with site preparation, and support smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, prioritizes safety, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This is a temp to perm position with opportunity of full-time hire with full benefits. Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, $20-$25/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently for loading, digging, and moving waste materials.
- Assist in site preparation, grading, and cleanup as needed.
- Inspect equipment daily for proper function and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet project timelines.
- Adhere to environmental and regulatory guidelines for waste handling.
- Maintain accurate logs of work performed and hours operated
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating excavators or heavy machinery in waste management or construction.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid heavy equipment operator certification or equivalent preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating machinery.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
