Recycling Yard Supervisor
Position Summary
The Recycling Yard Supervisor oversees daily yard operations, supervises staff, and ensures materials are handled safely and efficiently. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and productive recycling yard while enforcing safety procedures and supporting drivers and equipment operators.
Responsibilities
- Supervise yard laborers and daily operations
- Coordinate loading, unloading, sorting, and movement of materials
- Maintain a clean and safe yard environment
- Monitor equipment and report maintenance needs
- Enforce company safety policies and procedures
- Assist drivers, operators, and warehouse staff as needed
- Track inventory and complete basic reports
Requirements
- Previous yard, warehouse, recycling, or waste management experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Forklift or equipment experience a plus
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical labor
- Reliable with overtime and weekend availability
