Location: Avenel, NJ
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

A global leader in the lighting industry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Specialist to join its team in Avenel, NJ. This is an immediate opening and a critical role in maintaining the innovation, quality, and consistency of our product offerings.
Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate lighting products for quality, performance, and accuracy to specifications
• Source and purchase materials, components, and finished goods from approved suppliers
• Work closely with engineering and product development teams to support and enhance product lines
• Negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing, terms, and delivery timelines
• Manage purchase orders, lead times, and track vendor performance
• Analyze market trends and forecast purchasing needs to maintain optimal inventory flow
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience is required
• Prior experience in the lighting industry is required (LED and architectural lighting experience preferred)
• Must show a consistent and stable work history with long-term tenure in previous roles
• Experience must be clearly shown on resume to be considered
• Candidates with a background in another lighting company are strongly preferred
• Must be highly organized, results-driven, and proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
