Warehouse Supervisor
Responsibilities are not limited to the below. They can be changed at any time as our business changes.
1. Motivate employees, resolve issues, and make difficult decisions
2. Serve as a conduit of communication between employees and senior management
3. Assigning roles and tasks to dedicated team members based on strengths and abilities
4. Implement established business strategy, assigning roles and tasks to dedicated team members based on strengths and abilities
5. Identify and implement positive changes in cost reduction and waste elimination
6. Meet and exceed organizational goals with optimum use of workforce and resource allocation
7. Ensure compliance with state and legal policies and procedures
8. Handle any daily, weekly or monthly responsibilities in the absence of the warehouse manager.
Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Responsibilities
1. Directly work with employees to meet quality and on-time delivery requirements; address production challenges and communicate to appropriate leadership
2. Partner with the production department to manage workflow and ensure employees fully comprehend responsibilities and delegated tasks
3. Set performance goals and deadlines in line with the company’s vision
4. Monitor team productivity and provide performance evaluations, constructive feedback, mentorship, and discipline as needed
5. Receive and track employee and customer complaints and follow up with the warehouse manager before making any decisions
Other Responsibilities
1. Ensure all associates are following receiving processes including but not limited to
● verify container/trailer you are offloading matches the paperwork in hand
● verify items received
● verify quantities
● apply Pallet Labels
● reporting any overages/shortages/damages.
● Taking pictures of any damages
2. Scanning inbounds throughout the process
3. Fill out receiving paperwork correctly.
4. Notate any materials used
5. Notating discrepancies/damages
6. Signing your name
7. Load/Unload trailers/containers
8. Signing BOL’s
9. Notating any discrepancies/damages
10. Making sure carrier signs and/or Pro’s
11. Store items in locations in a timely manner and most accessible for orders.
12. Move items from one location to another correctly with the scan guns
13. Cycle Count items and report any discrepancies
14. Perform inventories when needed
15. Cleaning products inside and out to prepare for shipment to our customers
16. Ensure all associates are following picking processes, including but not limited to;
● verifying pick locations
● verifying items
● verifying quantities
● verifying pallet labels
● scanning orders throughout the process
● reporting any issues
● packing if needed
● notating any materials used
● Signing the order has been picked
● following any notes or special requirements for a particular order and/or customer, including but not limited to;
❖ Labels cartons and/or pallets
❖ Applying packing lists
❖ Applying shipping labels
❖ Building boxes
❖ Palletizing
17. Double-check orders to verify that orders were picked correctly
18. Help find solutions to problems that may arise
19. Ensure all Forklift drivers are following all safety rules put in place for their safety and the safety of all employees.
20. Cleaning the warehouse of any debris or safety hazards, including keeping forklifts and work areas cleaned and organized.
21. Take care of all equipment and report any issues that may occur
22. Ensure all associates are following all safety rules while walking in the warehouse, using carts, or on a forklift. Report any issues you see.
23. Ensure all associates are following all processes as you are trained. Processes are in place to get the work done timely, accurate, and safely. Do not go outside of a process.
24. Always tell your supervisor/manager when you have free time
25. Communicate timely with CSRs, carriers, other warehouse associates, and customers
26. Cross-train and work in any area needed
