Position Summary
The Junior Recruiter supports the recruiting team by sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates throughout the hiring process. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in Human Resources and talent acquisition. The Junior Recruiter works closely with hiring managers to identify qualified candidates and ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and internal databases
- Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates
- Conduct phone screens and initial interviews
- Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates and hiring managers
- Assist with drafting and posting job descriptions
- Support onboarding activities and background checks
- Provide regular updates to management regarding recruitment progress
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in recruiting, staffing, customer service, or administrative support, Junior Recruiter
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Duties
- Assist in sourcing candidates through various channels including social media, job boards, and internal databases.
- Conduct initial candidate screening by reviewing resumes and conducting phone or in-person interviews to assess qualifications and cultural fit.
- Support the scheduling of interviews between candidates and hiring managers while maintaining clear communication throughout the process.
- Support internal recruiting efforts by maintaining relationships with current employees for succession planning and employee relations initiatives.
- Contribute to social media management efforts to promote job openings and enhance employer branding.
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse audiences.
- Prior experience in recruiting or customer service a must.
