Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor for a local accounting firm.
Responsibilities
- Prepare complex tax returns and special projects as needed
- Review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and nonprofits
- Supervise, mentor, and train staff and senior accountants
- Assist with staff scheduling, workload management, and deadline monitoring
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Assist with client meetings and year-end tax planning discussions
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations and more....
Experience and Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of public accounting experience, preferably in a small or mid-sized firm
- Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation
- Experience reviewing tax returns and supervising staff
