Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for a local accounting firm.
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and estates
- Research complex tax issues and provide well-reasoned conclusions and recommendations
- Oversee extensions, estimated payments, and tax projections
- Assist with IRS and state tax notices, audits, and correspondence
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Manage multiple tax engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Train and mentor junior staff on tax preparation, review techniques, and professional development
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations and more....
Experience and Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA License preferred but not required
- 5-8+ years of public accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation
- Experience reviewing tax returns and managing client relationships
