Job Opportunity: Shop Assistant
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Shop Assistant to join a local metals company.
Job Description:
-
Unload trailers and store material in storage bins.
-
Bend, cut, bundle and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer’s orders.
-
Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
-
Operate a spray gun in the application of epoxy touch up or reinforcing steel bars

Operate overhead crane to move, assemble and select material to be fabricated or shipped and more......
Requirements:
-
Must be able to read a tape measure
-
Must be able to perform basic math for accurate bar measurements
-
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- Must be able to read and comprehend basic safety and operational instructions
Physical Requirements:
-
Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently.
-
Comfortable standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and moving as required.
