Job Full Description
We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to join our team! You will maintain and repair industrial production and processing machinery. The position is 5pm-1:30am Monday-Friday, FULL TIME.
Responsibilities:
- Repair, install, and adjust industrial machinery and pipeline distribution systems
- Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Supervise, train and develop maintenance staff by creating daily assignments for mechanics on each shift to support planned maintenance and loss elimination initiatives, and perform proactive work that will improve production line predictability and stability
- Log maintenance activities for recordkeeping and assure to compliance
- Log and record repair costs and frequency
- Work with production management to ensure safe operation of equipment and create safe work environment
- Follow maintenance department standard operating procedures (SOP) and methods
- Own and drive improvement around planned-unplanned downtime, breakdowns, mean time between failures (MTBF), and mean time to repair (MTTR). Coach team through execution of these process to build capability and ownership of these metric down to vendors, and town officials
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in machinery or other related fields
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
