Role Summary
We are seeking a Technical Support & Training Specialist to join our team. This role provides critical technical support for projects, contractors, and our internal sales staff. The position focuses on preparing accurate project documentation, supporting equipment selections, and ensuring our customers receive a professional, complete package every time. Over time, the role offers a clear growth path into outside sales, technical sales, sales engineering, or product management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quotes, submittals, equipment schedules, piping and wiring schematics, and supporting documentation.
- Perform system design and equipment selection for small to medium projects.
- Provide technical support including parts identification, cross-referencing, estimating, and pricing assistance.
- Deliver strong project packages that help contractors and engineers specify and implement solutions easily.
- Support senior designers by preparing documentation and project packages to allow them to focus on higher-level design and customer development.
- Gain field exposure through counter days, association meetings, and occasional contractor visits.
- Participate in product training and hands-on technical development to become a knowledgeable internal resource.
Candidate Qualifications
- Background in business or engineering technology preferred (degree not required).
- 2–5 years of experience, ideally in equipment selection, estimating, takeoffs, technical support, or inside sales. Experience in outside sales is also welcome.
- Strong computer proficiency; ability to learn tools such as QuoteWerks, CAD/Revit, and related software.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn through hands-on product training.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
- Motivated to grow into a long-term career blending technical expertise with customer interaction.
