Express Employment Professionals-Farmingdale, NY is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support residential/apartment community operations. This role is responsible for completing a wide range of maintenance tasks while providing excellent service to residents. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates effectively, and can work independently as well as part of a team (TEMP-month to month).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair duties including painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, and flooring
• Troubleshoot and address maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Support preventative maintenance efforts to ensure safety and quality standards
• Respond to on-call maintenance needs when scheduled
• Accurately complete work orders, timekeeping, and required training using basic computer or mobile systems

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in apartment, residential, or facilities maintenance
• Experience with painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, and flooring required
• HVAC experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime or assist nearby communities when needed
• Basic computer or mobile-app skills (training provided)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, but not required
