Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals-Farmingdale, NY is looking for a Wholesale Produce Lead to oversee daily produce operations, ensuring quality, inventory accuracy, food safety compliance, and excellent customer service. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with availability to work every third Sunday based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily produce operations and staff.
- Maintain product quality and inventory levels.
- Coordinate purchasing, receiving, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and company standards.
- Minimize product loss and manage stock rotation.
- Build and maintain vendor and customer relationships.
- Support department sales and operational goals.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of produce, wholesale, or grocery experience.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of produce handling, inventory control, and food safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in refrigerated environments as needed.
