Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Jamestown, NY client. Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technician. This position Requires a working knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Carpentry.
General Overview of Skill Requirements:
1. Electrical - Perform minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses). Trouble shooting and repair of equipment using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
2. Mechanical – Trouble shooting, diagnosis and repair of equipment. General Preventive Maintenance of equipment.
3. Plumbing - Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.).
4. Carpentry - Perform minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.). Prepare the surfaces and paints various structures and equipment to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion (e.g. sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners, etc.). Minor Roof Repair – identify leak origination and implement appropriate repair.
5. Other - Reconfigure, install, position, and remount modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks. Clean rooms, hallways, lobby, rest rooms, corridors, parking lots, and other work Performs other work related duties as assigned.
Hours are M-F 8 am to 430 pm and pay is based on experience between $20-$26/hr.
