Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Cassadaga, NY client. Our client is looking for a Construction Laborer. This job would entail:
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload construction materials and tools.
- Prepare and clean job sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding, barricades, and temporary structures.
- Operate hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and jackhammers.
- Mix and pour concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
- Dig trenches, backfill holes, and compact earth.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
- Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled workers as needed.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in construction or manual labor is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
Hours are M-F 7 am to 4 pm with some occasional overtime. Pay is between $16-$18/hr based on experience.
