Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Jamestown, NY client.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Robotic Welder to operate and maintain robotic welding systems in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with automated welding equipment, a strong understanding of welding processes, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize robotic systems for quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate robotic welding machines to meet production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
- Inspect welds for quality and accuracy using measuring tools and visual inspection.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on robotic welding equipment.
- Adjust machine settings and welding parameters to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve welding processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
- Document production output, machine performance, and quality issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in welding or robotics preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in robotic welding or automated manufacturing.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, or other welding techniques.
- Familiarity with robotic systems such as FANUC, ABB, or similar.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills and experience with manufacturing software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PLCs and robotic programming.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Welding certification (e.g., AWS) is a plus.
Hours are M-F 6 am to 230 pm and pay is between $18-$24 based on experience.
