Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for our Jamestown, NY client. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment repair across industrial, manufacturing, and fleet environments. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct preventative inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to minimize downtime.
- Maintain and repair conveyor systems, motors, control panels, and production lines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Operate forklifts, skid steers, loaders, and other heavy equipment as needed.
- Document maintenance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to safety protocols and 5S workplace organization standards.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure equipment readiness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance or equipment repair.
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and precision measuring tools.
- Valid driver’s license; forklift certification preferred.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hours are M-F 6 am to 230 with a chance of OT. Pay is between $20-$25/hr to start.
