Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Jamestown, NY client. We are seeking a qualified candidate for the CNC Laser Programming Department and Raw Material Inventory Control. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in CNC programming, material optimization, and inventory management, along with experience collaborating across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate accurate CNC programs for Mitsubishi Lasers.
- Use nesting software (SIGMA NEST) to create layouts that efficiently utilize raw materials.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing, and production teams.
- Review CNC programs and shop routers for raw material requirements (Inventory Control).
- Prepare raw material requirements in Excel spreadsheets for the purchasing department.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read blueprints and analyze detailed specifications per customer requirements.
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, including:
- CNC laser programming
- Materials, turret presses, laser cutting
- Experience with ERP systems (EPICOR experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of CAD software.
Education / Experience:
- Minimum associate degree.
- Preferred CNC programming experience.
- 5 years of manufacturing experience.

- Starting wage: $20 - $22 per hour (dependent on experience).
- Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (subject to change to 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM).
