Automotive Technician
In this fast-paced and supportive environment, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles—ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive tools to accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems, including powertrain, electrical systems, transmissions, and diesel engines.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and service documentation to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic problems.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety services such as brake repair, wheel balancing, alignments, and replacement of worn components.
- Operate hand and power tools skillfully to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components.
- Perform ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and verify proper operation of safety features.
- Maintain detailed and accurate service records, ensuring transparent communication with customers regarding needed and completed repairs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic in a dealership or service center environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair.
- Proficiency in interpreting schematics and utilizing automotive diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes preferred; experience with auto estimating software is a plus.
- Ability to perform welding, alignment services, and general maintenance tasks.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Valid automotive repair certification or formal technician training; ASE certification preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to learning emerging vehicle technologies, including ADAS.
Compensation
Pay: $20.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications)
