Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Machinist for a reputable local welding shop in the Dunkirk area. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering competitive pay, a stable schedule, and room for long-term growth within the company.
Pay Rate: $22–$25 per hour BOE
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain machining equipment (manual and/or CNC depending on experience)
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Measure, inspect, and verify precision components
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues
- Work closely with welders and fabrication team
- Ensure consistent quality and adherence to safety standards
Qualifications:
- Prior machining experience required
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Reliable, team-oriented, and focused on quality
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
