Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, and applying primers.
- Mix paints, coatings, and solvents according to specifications.
- Apply paint, powder coat, or protective finishes using spray guns, including HVLP equipment.
- Inspect finished products for quality, coverage, and appearance.
- Perform touch-ups and rework as needed.
- Maintain painting equipment and ensure proper cleaning and storage.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Work closely with production teams to meet quality and scheduling requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous industrial painting or automotive painting experience preferred.
- Experience with spray painting equipment and surface preparation techniques.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and hazardous material handling.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with HVLP spray systems.
- Knowledge of primers, coatings, and paint application methods.
- Manufacturing or production environment experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hours are M-F 7 am to 330 pm and pay is between $22-$26hr based on experience.
