Express is hiring multiple Medical Billing and Coding Specialist in the Queens Area.
Job Description:
- Audit medical records to ensure compliance with insurance and Medicare.
- Perform QA audits on coding process.
- Recommend and suggest improvements to assigned projects.
- Stay current with billing regulations, payer requirements, and coding standards.
- Support referral and authorization processes for procedures and testing
- Submit claims in a timely manner.
- Handle claim submissions, denials, and appeals to reduce rejections and improve collections.
Qualifications:
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Interest in Policy/ Health
- Organization skills
- Strong attention to detail
Requirements:
- AAPC/ AHIMA Certified
- In depth knowledge of Medical Billing and Coding
- 1-2 years relevant experience required
