Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals has an opening for a Cemetery Groundskeeper. The Groundskeeper is responsible for the overall appearance and maintenance of the cemetery grounds. This includes mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, and watering the lawns; planting, weeding, and watering flowers and shrubs; removing litter; and repairing damage to the grounds. The Groundskeeper may also be responsible for assisting with funeral services, digging graves, and setting up grave markers.
Full Time: Permanent: $18.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mow, trim, edge, fertilize, and water the lawns.
- Plant, weed, and water flowers and shrubs.
- Remove litter from the grounds.
- Repair damage to the grounds.
- Assist with funeral services.
- Dig graves.
- Set up grave markers.
- Operate a variety of lawn care and grounds maintenance equipment.
- Keep accurate records of work performed.
- Comply with all safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in groundskeeping or a related field.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
